One reason for the win was Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Hartington-Newcastle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to St. Mary's.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13.

Hartington-Newcastle's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.
