Softball Recap: Jackson County Wins Going Away Against Clay County

Jackson County barely beat Clay County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Generals blew past the Tigers 9-1 on Saturday. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Jackson County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Clay County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson County will take on Breathitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bobcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Clay County, they will welcome Pineville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mountain Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
