Basketball Recap: Conwell-Egan Catholic Takes a Loss

Conwell-Egan Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Father Judge Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Crusaders are ranked second).

Conwell-Egan Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Father Judge, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conwell-Egan Catholic will face off against Archbishop Wood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Father Judge, they will venture away from home to challenge Roman Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Father Judge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
