Softball Recap: Ashbrook Takes a Loss

Ashbrook lost against South Point on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenwave might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-1 to the Red Raiders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Greenwave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashbrook's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for South Point, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashbrook will take on North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for South Point, they will square off against Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders are facing the Yellow Jackets at the right time seeing as the Yellow Jackets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
