Softball Recap: Collegium Charter Cougar vs. Bristol Warriors

Collegium Charter had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-10 to make it eight. They lost 15-0 to the Bristol Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in March.

As for Bristol, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games.

For Bristol's part, Aubrey McIlvaine looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave McIlvaine a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luciana Snyder, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Peyton McClain was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
