Basketball Recap: Pineywoods Community Academy Takes a Loss

If Pineywoods Community Academy was feeling good fresh off their 54-31 takedown of Broaddus last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves were dealt an 83-42 loss at the hands of the Sterling Rangers on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 937th, while the Rangers are ranked 448th).

Pineywoods Community Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Sterling, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Pineywoods Community Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-44 loss against Wells on the 12th. Sterling has also already played their next game, a 62-28 win against Chireno on the 12th.
