Basketball Recap: Blum Comes Up Short

Blum lost against Whitney back in December of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bobcats took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

When it comes to explaining why Blum lost, don't look at Gunner Willingham. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 20 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Lavender, who posted ten points.

Blum's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Whitney, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Blum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-39 victory against Stephenville FAITH on the 24th. As for Whitney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-46 defeat against Rio Vista on the 24th.
