Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

Appleton North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Menomonee Falls Phoenix. If the Lightning were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Phoenix when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Menomonee Falls, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Appleton North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Waunakee on the 19th. As for Menomonee Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Catholic Memorial on the 19th.
