Basketball Recap: Rickards Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rickards entered their tilt with Lincoln on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 61-48 victory over the Lincoln Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Trojans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 74-64 loss.

Lincoln's loss came despite strong showings from Malakhi Lowe and Justin Herron. Lowe posted ten points and five boards, while Herron earned six points and six rebounds. O'Ryan Brooks was another key player, putting up five points.

Rickards is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Rickards didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-45 win against Raines on the 18th. As for Lincoln, they will look to defend their home court on January 27th against Community Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.
