Baseball Game Preview: Clover Blue Eagles vs. Nation Ford Falcons

For the second straight game, Clover will face off against Nation Ford. The Blue Eagles will welcome the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Clover headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Nation Ford let them put that streak behind them. The Blue Eagles blew past the Falcons 11-3 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kyle Kirkland was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

In other batting news, Anthony Marano was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Logan Satter was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Nation Ford's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Clover, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
