Volleyball Recap: Elle Siniscalchi Key Part of Team Effort in Crusaders Win

After losing to Mount Horeb the last time they met, Edgewood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Crusaders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Edgewood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elle Siniscalchi led the charge by getting 13 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Siniscalchi has posted over her last six contests. Lexi Sheffield was another key player, getting 11 digs and two assists.

Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Mount Horeb, they moved to 23-8 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Edgewood will face off against Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Horeb, they will challenge DeForest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
