Basketball Recap: St. Andrews-Sewanee Drops Season-High Score on Boyd Christian + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Andrews-Sewanee). They came out on top against the Boyd Christian Broncos by a score of 57-46 on Thursday. The Mountain Lions haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jace Matheney, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Rhoton, who posted 11 points.

St. Andrews-Sewanee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Boyd Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Andrews-Sewanee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boyd Christian will take on Franklin Road Christian in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
