Football Game Preview: Midd-West Mustangs vs. Mifflinburg Wildcats

Midd-West is 0-5 against Mifflinburg since October of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Midd-West has given up an average of 33.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Midd-West's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Milton on Friday. They were outmatched by the Black Panthers and fell 47-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mifflinburg). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Central Columbia 65-3. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Mifflinburg's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Midd-West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Midd-West took a serious blow against Mifflinburg when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 76-8. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wildcats' Chad Martin, who threw for 231 yards and five TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.
