Volleyball Recap: Somerset Academy - Canyons Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Somerset Academy - Canyons can now relate to. They came up short against the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds on Monday, falling 3-0. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-14.

Breana Mangiacapra paced Somerset Academy - Canyons' offense, picking up five kills. Mangiacapra got some help from Avery Wood and her 14 assists. MIkayla Ayala and Carolyn Riseley kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Somerset Academy - Canyons' loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lincoln Park Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Somerset Academy - Canyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against King's Academy on the 14th.
