Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Marcos). Everything went their way against the Santa Barbara Dons on Wednesday as they made off with a 15-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Solana Sandoval was incredible, going 4-for-6 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isa Malarkey, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: San Marcos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

San Marcos' record is now 8-12. As for Santa Barbara, they dropped their record down to 4-18 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home.

Coming up, San Marcos will be taking part in a tournament against Sutter at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Barbara, they will venture away from home to square off against Hueneme at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
