Baseball Recap: Central Catholic's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sunset Apollos by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered since March 26, 2024.

Central Catholic's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6-1. As for Sunset, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-9.

Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunset, they will face off against McMinnville on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Apollos 3.7, the Grizzlies 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
