League recap: Stockbridge bests Westside in blowout

AAAA Region 4A recap November 19, 2013

Stockbridge took down Westside 41-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.

The Tigers led AAAA Region 4A in scoring this week by notching 41 points on the Seminoles.

Cymeon Burden was a key player and the best on defense this week as Eagle's Landing fell to Mary Persons. The 6-foot-1 defensive back forced 1 fumble.

Tyler Sellers threw for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 27-40 with 2 interceptions.

Bradley Dewberry was the best running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 79 yards as the Eagles fell to Veterans. Teammate Corey Holloway added to the ground attack by rushing for 48 yards.

The Wildcats' Sellers and Justin Drake led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Sellers has thrown for 2,140 yards this season, while Drake has 72 catches for 939 yards. Holloway from Eagle's Landing leads the league in rushing with 1,093 yards.

Brandon Robertson has rushed for 980 yards on 119 carries so far this year.

He has recorded 72 catches for 939 yards this year.

Joe Teknipp's team fell 16-14 to the Bulldogs in the closest game of the week. Dewberry was a bright spot for the Eagles, as he threw for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 79 yards in the defeat.
