Baseball Game Preview: Germantown Clippers vs. Catskill Cats

The Germantown Clippers will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Catskill Cats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Germantown came up short against Hudson on Monday, falling 13-1. The Clippers have struggled against the Bluehawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Germantown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Schmitz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Catskill made easy work of Cairo-Durham on Friday and carried off an 8-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cats.

Catskill also got a great performance from Demetrio Morales as he struck out 13 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Catskill let Will Cummings and Kayden Dolan run wild. Cummings went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI, while Dolan scored a run while going 1-for-1. Austin June was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Catskill's record is now 2-0. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
