The Durham Academy Cavaliers won the last time they faced the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Durham Academy walked away with a 62-53 victory over North Raleigh Christian Academy.
Durham Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JJ Wilcox, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joshua Dorsette II, who scored 19 points.
Durham Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Durham Academy will be playing at home against Ravenscroft at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Durham Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against The Burlington School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Burlington School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Raleigh Christian Academy in North Carolina (The Burlington School is ranked fifth, while North Raleigh Christian Academy is ranked 243rd).
