Volleyball Recap: Pocono Mountain East Comes Up Short

Pocono Mountain East and Parkland squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pocono Mountain East had to settle for second. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cardinals have suffered since September 11th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-17.

Parkland found their leader in sophomore Chloe Coonradt, who had 21 digs and two aces. Coonradt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Pocono Mountain East now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Parkland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9-1 record this season.

Pocono Mountain East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parkland, they will square off against Freedom at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
