Baseball Recap: McDowell Comes Up Short

McDowell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the T.C. Roberson Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on Tuesday.

McDowell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

McDowell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for T.C. Roberson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. McDowell is set to take on their familiar foe Erwin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, T.C. Roberson will face off against rival Asheville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
