If Sumrall was riding high fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Hattiesburg last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sumrall Bobcats fell 6-1 to the South Jones Braves on Friday. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Sumrall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadyn Williamson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Sumrall's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Jones, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumrall will square off against West Marion at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sumrall is facing West Marion at the right time seeing as West Marion is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for South Jones, they will take on Harrison Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Harrison Central has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
