Softball Recap: Amherst Falcons vs. Manawa Wolves

Amherst was the 4-1 winner over Manawa when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Sam Nooyen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
