The Meridian Mustangs will challenge the Goochland Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meridian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.

Meridian is headed into the match having not lost since April 3 and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Brentsville District could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Meridian hit the Tigers with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Amin Shams, Fletcher Saaty, and Zach Miller.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Goochland). They never let Louisa County get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. Goochland haven't had any issues with Louisa County recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Goochland's win bumped their record up to 5-9-1. Meridian's draw gives them a new season record of 11-2-2.

Everything went Meridian's way against Goochland in their previous matchup back in June of 2023, as Meridian made off with an 8-0 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
