The Amelia Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by Brunswick Academy 74-20. Amelia Academy has struggled against the Vikings recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Amelia Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kyle Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Jacob Barbour who scored three points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.
Amelia Academy's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Brunswick Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Tidewater Academy has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for Brunswick Academy, they and the Kavaliers will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kenston Forest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Vikings like a good challenge.
