Gateway College Preparatory waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Eastside Early College Panthers a 7-0 shutout. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by four goals or more this season.

They hit Eastside Early College with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kayla Gonzalez (4), Sophia Krieger (2), and Reagan Farrell.

Gateway College Preparatory's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Eastside Early College, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Gateway College Preparatory will square off against Northeast Early College at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Gateway College Preparatory's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last six contests. As for Eastside Early College, they will face off against Lago Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
