Baseball Recap: Orangeburg-Wilkinson Comes Up Short

Orangeburg-Wilkinson lost against Calhoun County back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins lost 12-6 to the Calhoun County Saints. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Houston Free, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Orangeburg-Wilkinson now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Calhoun County, they moved to 1-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orangeburg-Wilkinson will take on Ridge View at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Calhoun County, they will venture away from home to take on Edisto at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
