Softball Recap: Thomas A. Edison Owls vs. Prep Charter Huskies
Thomas A. Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Prep Charter Huskies. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Marisol Valencia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Nylah Borges was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.
Thomas A. Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Prep Charter, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.
Thomas A. Edison and Prep Charter will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Owls see the field they'll take on Tacony Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Prep Charter, their break will end when they face Mariana Bracetti Academy at 3:15 p.m. on the 22nd.
