Chaminade Julienne Catholic waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Archbishop Alter Knights. Considering the Eagles have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aubrey Kolton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mariem Mezni, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Em Schwartz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Chaminade Julienne Catholic's record now sits at 12-8. As for Archbishop Alter, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Coming up, Chaminade Julienne Catholic will look to defend their home field on Monday against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. As for Archbishop Alter, they will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Fenwick at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
