Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Skates Past Clearbrook-Gonvick with Ease

Sacred Heart entered their tilt with Clearbrook-Gonvick on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears 71-34. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Bears are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 18-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28 points. As for Clearbrook-Gonvick, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart will venture away from home to square off against Ada-Borup at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clearbrook-Gonvick, they will head out on the road to take on Warren-Alvarado-Oslo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
