Baseball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Hollister

Hollister entered their tilt with Salinas on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Salinas Cowboys a 2-0 shutout. The Haybalers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Trent Roach looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Hollister's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Evan Mendoza, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hollister's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Salinas, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Hollister will have a chance to go back-to-back against Salinas: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
