Softball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview fell victim to Maplewood and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets. The Rebels just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Makayla Mckee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Maplewood, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestview will welcome Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maplewood, they will be playing at home against Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
