Softball Recap: Eastern View Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Eastern View got themselves on the board against Culpeper County on Tuesday, but Culpeper County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Blue Devils. The Cyclones haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Culpeper County's batters probably weren't too happy with Cailin Rendell, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 18 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Those 18 strikeouts gave Rendell a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Addison Fick was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Settle, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Eastern View pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.the team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team won's by an average of 8.2 runs thus far As for Culpeper County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Eastern View will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Unity Reed at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Culpeper County, they will take on William Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
