Soccer Game Preview: Ridge View vs. Spring Valley

The Ridge View Blazers will head out on the road to square off against the Spring Valley Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridge View will be strutting in after a victory while Spring Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Ridge View took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Westwood, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Ridge View had just enough and edged out Westwood 2-1 on Thursday. The Blazers' winning goal came courtesy of Freddy Martinez Arellano.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Spring Valley was not quite Blythewood's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Bengals. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Ridge View, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Ridge View suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Spring Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can Ridge View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
