Basketball Recap: LaVergne Comes Up Short

LaVergne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lebanon Blue Devils, falling 60-25. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.

Lebanon was led to victory by Tiara Spencer and Maggie Kelley. Spencer posted 11 points and four steals, while Kelley went 5 of 6 on her way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Beth McDonald, who had five points and five assists.

LaVergne's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Lebanon, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

LaVergne has already played their next matchup (against Smyrna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lebanon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-35 victory against Wilson Central on the 31st.
