O'Donnell had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Crosbyton Chiefs on Friday as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Eagles have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Willie Luera made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Luera was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lincoln Graham, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Ezyah Torres was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

O'Donnell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .609. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in four consecutive contests.

O'Donnell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Crosbyton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

O'Donnell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chiefs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
