Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Southern Lab Kittens
If the Northeast Vikings were feeling good off their 73-44 takedown of the Central Private Redhawks on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Northeast was outmatched by Southern Lab on the road and fell 65-38. Northeast has struggled against Southern Lab recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Northeast lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braylon Guerin, who scored seven points along with three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeromone Sampson, who scored three points along with five rebounds and five blocks.
Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Southern Lab, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
Northeast won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Helena College and Career Academy at 10:00 a.m. on January 6th. As for Southern Lab, they will be playing in front of their home fans against White Castle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
