Basketball Recap: Cary Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Mccoy Williams and Julian Tweedy

Cary Academy played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 74-52 to the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers. The Chargers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Cary Academy had strong showings from Julian Tweedy, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, and McCoy Williams, who shot 40% from the field en route to 18 points and three steals. Kaden Murphy was another key player, putting up nine points.

Charlotte Country Day School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hunter Blythe, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Youakim, who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Cary Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Charlotte Country Day School, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
