Sunnyside and Roosevelt are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but not for long. The Wildcats will square off against the Rough Riders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Sunnyside is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Torres just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Toros. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since September 16th.

While Sunnyside was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt made easy work of Central on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rough Riders.

Roosevelt never let Central on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.

Sunnyside's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-17-2. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.

Sunnyside might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Roosevelt when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
