It's playoff time, and Benton Central had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the South Adams Starfires with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Bison sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Benton Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bella Widmer, who had 18 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Minniear, who had 27 assists and five digs.

When it comes to explaining why South Adams lost, don't look at Laney Trausch. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and seven kills. Trausch is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Benton Central's victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for South Adams, with the defeat, they broke their nine-match winning streak and moved their record to 27-9.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Benton Central and Barr-Reeve will shake off the rust and duke it out at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Adams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
