Baseball Game Preview: Bay Tigers vs. Pass Christian Pirates

Bay is 2-8 against Pass Christian since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Bay Tigers will host the Pass Christian Pirates at 12:00 p.m.

Bay is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Pass Christian.

Landen Marquar was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in February.

The win (which was Pass Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 4-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
