Guerin Catholic won the last time they faced Roncalli and things went their way on Saturday too. The Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles came out on top against the Roncalli Royals by a score of 55-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Guerin Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Grissom out in front who went 7-for-10 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Bryson Cardinal was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Several Royals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joe Taylor, who went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Noah Schmaltz, who posted 11 points and six assists.

Guerin Catholic's record now sits at 19-4. As for Roncalli, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guerin Catholic will challenge University at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roncalli, they will be playing at home against Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roncalli is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
