Preview: Hughson vs. Ripon
Hughson is 10-0 in play against Ripon since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Hughson will head out on the road to challenge Ripon at 6:00 p.m. Hughson is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Hughson faced off against Hilmar for the first time this season, and Hughson walked away the winners. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Hilmar on Thursday.
Ceasar Ramos was the driving force of Hughson's attack as he scored all three of Hughson's goals With that big game, he's now up to three scores this season.
Meanwhile, Ripon has not won a game since January 2nd, a trend which continued on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverbank. Ripon has not had much luck with Riverbank recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Hughson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Ripon, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-4 record this season.
Hughson skirted past Ripon 1-0 when the teams last played on January 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hughson since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
