At the plate, Central Bucks South let Cam Lee and Maddie Motley run wild. Lee scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Motley scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Erin Ruddell also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Central Bucks South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Pennridge hadn't done well against North Penn recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams came out on top against the Knights by a score of 6-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Averi Dockery made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Dockery was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Lilly Davies was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Payton Keyser was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
The victory got Pennridge back to even at 3-3. As for Central Bucks South, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Central Bucks South hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Pennridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Central Bucks South couldn't quite finish off Pennridge when the teams last played back in May of 2023 and fell 2-0. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
