Football Recap: Grand Valley Takes a Loss

If Grand Valley was riding high fresh off their 68-8 takedown of Windham last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a blow against the Wilmington Greyhounds on Friday, falling 49-13. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Grand Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Wilmington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Grand Valley will venture away from home to square off against St. John at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Fighting Herald's rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wilmington, they will challenge Farrell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
