Waterloo East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Waukon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

Waterloo East has already played their next matchup (against Lincoln), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Waukon will challenge New Hampton at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for New Hampton: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Waukon has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
