Softball Game Preview: Frisco Raccoons vs. Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers

The Frisco Raccoons will challenge the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Frisco fell victim to Emerson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Mavericks. The Raccoons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frisco saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailee Hodnett, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Lebanon Trail got the win against Liberty on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-1. Considering the Trail Blazers have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Parker Rodgers made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendall Dreary, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Valentina Quinones was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Lebanon Trail and bumps their season record up to 4-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Frisco, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.
