Drake/Anamoose had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 31-23 victory over the Velva Aggies. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 44-26 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Drake/Anamoose's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-3. As for Velva, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Drake/Anamoose is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Center-Stanton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Velva, they will take on Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Velva surely won't give up without a fight.
