Softball Game Preview: Summersville Wildcats vs. Licking Wildcats

Summersville will face off against Licking at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On Monday, Summersville got the win against Couch by a conclusive 23-7. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kaylin Heiney was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and six RBI. Another player making a difference was Tara Bryant, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5.

Meanwhile, Licking made easy work of Conway on Monday and carried off an 18-3 victory.

The team relied heavily on Allie Medlock, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Halee Clayton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

The win got Licking back to even at 1-1. As for Summersville, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
