Preview: Lead Hill Tigers vs. Omaha Eagles
The Lead Hill Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Omaha Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lead Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Lead Hill was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to Alpena. Lead Hill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Nolan Turner, who scored eight points along with three steals. Nicklas May was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Omaha pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-59 to Kingston.
Lead Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Omaha, they bumped their record down to 12-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Lead Hill might still be hurting after the 74-49 loss they got from Omaha in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Lead Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
